Turmeric Golden Milk (via Honestly.Fit)

INGREDIENTS

For Golden Milk
2cups coconut milk
1/2tsp cinnamon
1tsp grated ginger
1pinch stevia or 1/2 tsp raw honey or 1/2 tsp maple syrup
For Turmeric Paste
1/2cup water
1/4cup turmeric
1 1/2tsp black peppercorns
1tbsp organic coconut oil

INSTRUCTIONS

Create Turmeric paste
1.Combine 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup turmeric powder, 1 1/2 tsp black peppercorns, and 1 tbsp coconut oil in a small sauce pan.
2.Simmer on low heat for 7-10 minutes. Stir frequently until paste is formed.
3.Set aside to cool.
Create Golden Milk
1.Combine 2 cups whole organic coconut milk, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp ginger, 1tsp coconut oil, 1tbsp turmeric paste and your choice of sweetener (if desired) Stevia/raw honey/maple syrup.
2.Simmer on low heat 10 minutes, but do not boil. Strain. Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
