Montana's Cornbread

INGREDIENTS

2/3cup butter or margarine, softened
1cup sugar
3eggs
1 2/3cups milk
2 1/3cups all-purpose flour
1cup cornmeal
4 1/2teaspoons baking powder
1teaspoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS

1.In a mixing bowl cream butter and sugar.
2.In a separate bowl, combine the eggs and milk.
3.In a third bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt.
4.Add flour mixture and egg mixture alternately to creamed mixture.
5.Stir to combine.
6.Pour into a greased mini loaf pan. If you do not have one, you can use a 13x 9 in. baking pan.
7.Bake at 400 degrees F for 22-27 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the centre comes out clean.
