Potato Pulao

INGREDIENTS

1cup rice
2potatoes cut to small cubes
1onion sliced thinly
2garlic cloves chopped
1teaspoon grated ginger
1green chili, sliced thin
1teaspoon Garam Masala
1teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4teaspoon turmeric
1teaspoon Aromat
1/4cup vegetable oil
1bay leaf
3cardamom pods, torn open
6whole cloves
1cinnamon stick
1teaspoon cumin seeds
1star anise
1strand mace

INSTRUCTIONS

1.Cook rice until al dente.
2.Wash, peel and cut potatoes into tiny cubes, leave them in a bowl of cold water until ready to cook.
3.Pour the oil into a hot pan, saute dry spices until they splutter.
4.Add onions, garlic and ginger, fry until onions are translucent.
5.Add cubed potatoes, roast until they are fully cooked.
6.Add all other spices, stir well.
7.Add cooked rice and mix well.
