1. | Put yeast in water and let sit until foamy. (approx. 10 min.) |
2. | Mix oil, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. |
3. | Add yeast mixture, flour, and powdered milk. |
4. | Knead until smooth. |
5. | Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 30 min. |
6. | Punch down, recover with cloth, and let rise for 30 more minutes. |
7. | Preheat oven to 350* |
8. | Grease pans with flour and shortening, form 2 loaves or 2 dozen rolls, and let rise for 20 minutes in pans. |
9. | For rolls, bake for 25 minutes; for bread, 35 minutes. |
