| 1. | Steam green beans |
| 2. | While the beans cook, put the bacon in a medium-large pan over medium heat. Let the bacon cook for 4 minutes until almost crispy. |
| 3. | Add the onions and saute until they begin to soften. Then add the garlic. |
| 4. | Add the cider vinegar, water and brown sugar to the bacon and onions and stir. Reduce slightly. |
| 5. | Measure the whole grain mustard into the pan. |
| 6. | Lastly, add the green beans and stir to coat and heat through. Season to taste with salt and pepper. |
