German Green Beans

INGREDIENTS

1pound green beans ( 2 15 oz cans)
4slices bacon, diced
1/4cup onion, finely chopped
2tsbp apple cider vinegar
2tablespoon water
1tablespoon brown sugar
2cloves garlic
1/4teaspoon salt
1teaspoon whole grain mustard

INSTRUCTIONS

1.Steam green beans
2.While the beans cook, put the bacon in a medium-large pan over medium heat. Let the bacon cook for 4 minutes until almost crispy.
3.Add the onions and saute until they begin to soften. Then add the garlic.
4.Add the cider vinegar, water and brown sugar to the bacon and onions and stir. Reduce slightly.
5.Measure the whole grain mustard into the pan.
6.Lastly, add the green beans and stir to coat and heat through. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
